וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ אַנְשֵׁ֣י ׀ קִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֗ים וַֽיַּעֲלוּ֙ אֶת־אֲר֣וֹן יְהוָ֔ה וַיָּבִ֣אוּ אֹת֔וֹ אֶל־בֵּ֥ית אֲבִינָדָ֖ב בַּגִּבְעָ֑ה וְאֶת־אֶלְעָזָ֤ר בְּנוֹ֙ קִדְּשׁ֔וּ לִשְׁמֹ֖ר אֶת־אֲר֥וֹן יְהוָֽה׃ (פ)
Maka datanglah penduduk Kiryat-Yearim, lalu mereka membawa tabut Yang Mahakekal naik dan memasukkannya ke rumah Abinadab di bukit. Mereka menetapkan Eleazar, anaknya, untuk menjaga tabut Yang Mahakekal.
